Saudi Arabia imports 80% of its food from more than 157 countries.
Hisham Al-Jedaie, chief executive of the SFDA, mentioned that 80% of the food in the Kingdom is imported from more than 157 countries. He pointed out that the Kingdom has imported 15% of its food from Brazil and 11.67% from Thailand
Al-Jedaie said during his appearance in a program presented by Abdullah Al-Mudayfar on the Rotana Khaleejia channel that the Food and Drug Administration is located in 16 ports between air, sea and land. We have exceeded the prohibition of infringing goods from customs, we inspect some goods in countries of origin.
